So you have a Boho Dream…

Updated: Aug 4, 2020

AMW has wanted to execute a true, bohemian inspired styled shoot for quite some time. During mid-July, we were able to make this dream come true, accompanied by an alpaca and all. If you want to go a bohemian route for your wedding, follow along below to uncover how we made our dreams come true at the Cotton Press in Little Mountain, South Carolina.

Pampas Grass and Feather Tablescape, Arbor + Place Cards

This tablescape was absolutely everything we thought of when bohemian dreams came to mind. The neutral and bold yellows all went succinctly together as we crafted our table vision, along with place cards that would make sitting down at a reception one to remember. A trend alert to look out for for the rest of 2020 and 2021 are crystals. Crystals went so well with the bohemian inspiration that we had to use them to give guests a memorable memento from this unique styled shoot.

Just like our natural outdoor summer shoot, sustainability remains a theme and we utilized it with dried flowers throughout the shoot on the arbor. Also, pompous grass can be reused and we used it on the table and flat lays for the place cards and invitations.

The most unexpected accessory...an alpaca!

Here at AMW, we love a good furry friend at a wedding! That being said, this does not leave out alpacas. Our good friend Storm, often referred to as Princess by her loved ones, was gracious enough to complete our bohemian fantasy and she was an absolute natural. Since the Cotton Press venue has many outdoor attributes, she was able to roam outside so she was comfortable for pictures with the bride and groom. We loved styling her with a flower necklace and crown so she and the bride could match!

Boho-Incorporated Fashion

We wanted to creatively style our couple with trending wedding styles right now. When we thought boho, we instantly thought of accenting the flow of the model’s wedding dress with a statement hat and decided to give the groom a Brackish bowtie. Along with the fringe background, hats were added to give the bridesmaids a choice of a hat accessory as well as tying it in with the bride.

Shoot Location + Venue

We found this venue in Little Mountain, South Carolina, to be perfect to make our bohemian vision come true. There are private areas upstairs for the bride and groom to get ready with their parties. It seats up to 250 guests indoors and up to 350 outdoors, and with the front of a refurbished bus that can serve as a bar for events.
