Labor Day weekend on Kiawah Island set the scene for Becca and Lee’s celebration. Starting the weekend off with a Lowcountry-inspired rehearsal dinner at Mingo Point. Beneath moss-draped oaks, friends and family gathered for cocktails, fresh oysters, and Southern-style small bites. Between laughter and clinking glasses, heartfelt toasts were shared—including a mention of the canceled flight that brought Becca and Lee together in an airport terminal, turning a travel misfortune into the beginning of their love story.
The following morning, the bridal party got ready in a nearby house tucked just minutes from the Ocean Course. Matching pajamas, steaming cups of coffee, and easy conversation filled the home as hair and makeup began. The bridesmaids later slipped into their soft blue gowns, raising a final toast before heading to the venue. With bouquets of pink blooms in hand, they set the tone for Becca’s fresh, coastal palette.
Becca looked timeless as she stepped into her gown, surrounded by her bridesmaids and the excitement of the day ahead. Just down the road, Lee and his groomsmen shared an easygoing start to the morning—laughs, toasts, and final touches before heading out onto the golf course for portraits.
Their ceremony took place on the course just behind the Ocean Course clubhouse, where panoramic views of the coastline created a breathtaking backdrop. Soft ocean breezes drifted across the fairway as Becca and Lee exchanged vows, framed by sweeping greens and a horizon that seemed endless. The atmosphere felt intimate, elegant, and completely effortless.
After the ceremony, guests made their way to cocktail hour on the putting green. Champagne flowed, drinks were passed, and guests took turns hitting golf balls as the sun lowered over the island. An alligator ice sculpture was on full display with an assortment of fresh seafood to snack on. Meanwhile, a live watercolor painter added a nice touch, offering guests hand-painted portraits to take home as keepsakes.
Under a grand white tent, the reception brought Becca’s coastal vision to life. Blue patterned linens, soft pink florals, and understated rattan accents created a setting that felt both airy and refined. A trio of signature drinks—The Texas Two-Step Margarita, The Turner’s Transfusion, and The Palmetto Gimlet—gave a personal nod to the couple’s story and Southern roots.
As guests settled in, the newlyweds were introduced as The Turners before sharing their first dance beneath the glowing lights of the tent. A seated two-course dinner followed, with candlelight flickering across the tables as conversations and toasts carried through the evening.
When the band struck up, the dance floor quickly filled. Monogrammed tambourines and light-up cowboy hats made their way into the crowd, adding a nice personal touch to the brides Texas’s roots.
As the evening drew to a close, guests lined up with sparklers in hand, creating a shimmering tunnel of light for Becca and Lee to walk through. Surrounded by cheers, glowing sparklers, and the soft Carolina night sky, the newlyweds made their exit—a perfect ending to a weekend filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable coastal charm.
