Coastal Romance Meets Southern Charm: Taylor & Luke's Gadsden House Wedding


Surrounded by Southern charm and timeless elegance, Taylor and Luke celebrated the wedding of their dreams at the beautiful Gadsden House in Charleston, South Carolina. Their day was a stunning blend of coastal details and classic romance, thoughtfully curated to reflect both their style and the historic beauty of their venue. From soft blue tones and lush florals to heartfelt moments shared with family and friends, the result was an unforgettable celebration that perfectly captured their love story.

The morning began in the on-site bridal suite, where excitement and laughter filled the air as Taylor and her bridesmaids prepared for the day. Dressed in matching sage green pajamas, the bridesmaids later changed into elegant sage gowns, perfectly complementing Taylor’s timeless strapless wedding dress. Meanwhile, Luke and his groomsmen got ready separately, sharing their own moments of anticipation before the couple’s unforgettable first look.

The wedding party boarded the trolley and made their way to St. Michael’s Church, just a short ride away. The ceremony was a beautiful blend of joy and emotion, filled with heartfelt moments as Taylor and Luke exchanged vows and said “I do” surrounded by their loved ones. Following the ceremony, guests headed to the Gadsden house for cocktail hour. 

The reception radiated an elevated coastal-southern charm. After a lively cocktail hour, guests gathered in the main reception area to welcome the wedding party and the newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Harper. The space featured a seamless indoor–outdoor design, creating an airy, inviting atmosphere accented by soft blue and green tones that beautifully captured the coastal vibe. Lush florals by Branch Design Studio transformed the setting into a breathtaking scene, while refined rentals from Event Works and a chic lounge by Adorn Charleston completed the elegant ambiance. Thoughtful custom details from personalized matchbooks and signature bar signs to bar wallpaper tied every element together, creating a celebration that was both cohesive and unforgettable.

Under a white tent, the reception made for an unforgettable evening. Guests dined and danced in the candlelit space as laughter and music filled the air. Taylor and Luke shared their first dance surrounded by family and friends, a moment that perfectly reflected the love and joy woven throughout the day. As the evening came to an end, the newlyweds were sent off in a tunnel of glowing sparklers. It was the perfect finale to a day overflowing with love, beauty, and unforgettable memories.
