Real Wedding Review: Daniel Island Club

For this review we are diving in to the beautiful wedding of Carly & Michael at the Daniel Island Club in Charleston, SC. The couple choose to have their ceremony at St. Mary of the Annunciation Church in Charleston before having the rest of their nuptial celebrations at the Club. The Daniel Island Club is the perfect venue for couples that want a sophisticated and beautiful feel for their wedding and especially for the photos! From the small details to the unique ideas, this wedding was nothing short of a magical experience celebrating the couple!

The celebrating started with an initial cocktail hour that included outdoor lounge seating, a champagne bookcase, and a violin player. All of these details created one of the classiest cocktails hours we have ever seen!

To start off this review let's take a look at this cocktail hour and the details involved.

Set upon the grand piano the couple had family photos, wedding photos, and their own personal photos surrounded many votives and greenery.

This outdoor lounge area was not only a beautiful decor detail, but sported an incredible view of the marsh for guests to enjoy during cocktail hour.

The outdoor bar was also adorned with the personalized couple drink koozies and matches to give guests a small token to remember the wedding.

To not only bring the whole look together, but provide the guests with refreshments, there was a champagne bookcase nestled in the courtyard on the way into the greeting room.

One of the most unique details the couple decided on was this telephone guestbook where guests would pick up the phone and record a message for the bride and groom!

Following the initial cocktail hour, the outdoor lounge, courtyard, greeting room with a bar, and the ballroom were open to the guests all evening. The reception was mainly held in the ballroom that was adorned from the chandeliers to the tables with pastel flowers and greenery. The reception provided a station style dinner including a mash potato bar, shrimp and grits, short ribs, and more. Lets's take a look at what the reception looked like!

The couple chose this black and white dance floor, a customized neon sign, and large bouquets of florals to give their entertainment space a clean and dreamy look.

For the cake it was kept simple, but personalized with their florals, a cute cat cake topper, specialty table linen, and a different flavor of cake for every tier.

Here the indoor lounge area is set up just before the dance floor sporting the couples own special order pillows with intricate pastel designs and beautiful chandeliers hang above!

Overall, this was a beautiful wedding with an adorable couple! From the venue to the decor we can definitely say that this was one of our favorite weddings to plan and work!
