Meet our Associate Wedding Planners, Mary Gregory and Sophie Large! Mary is a graduate from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Marketing and a minor in Sport and Entertainment Management. Sophie is also a graduate from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Hospitality Management. Both of our ladies joined our team in 2020 as a part of our Planning Team and Marketing Team. Mary and Sophie have continued to pursue their passions of wedding planning with us and we could not be more thrilled for them to join us as Associate Planners!

How would you describe your personal wedding style?
Mary describes her personal wedding style as “southern glam with fun modern accents”. She loves chandeliers, candlelight, and unique accents like lounge furniture or a champagne wall. Mary’s favorite color scheme is shades of pink with sage green and gold accents. Her must-have vendors would be a live painter and gelato cart!
Sophie describes her personal wedding style as “boho chic”. She loves incorporating pampas grass and fall color schemes. Sophie enjoys adding velvet to different aspects such as lounge furniture and unique linens. Signature drinks are a must-have for Sophie that represents his, hers, and theirs!

What is your favorite part of the wedding day?
Mary’s favorite wedding moment is right before sending the bride down the aisle. This moment is monumental and is full of anticipation and excitement! Another favorite moment is the traditional cake cutting with the newlyweds.
Sophie’s favorite wedding moment is the first dance between the newlyweds and the first look before the ceremony. Both of these moments are incredibly special to each individual couple and are tear-jerkers every time.

Mary, what is your advice to a bride looking to start her planning process?
“The first thing I would tell them to do is sit down with your fiancé and make a list of must-haves like vendors you both definitely want such as a videographer or something as simple as whether you want a cake or a dessert table. These things will help you with your budget from the start, and it will help you to cut the budget on aspects you aren’t as passionate about having at your wedding. Then come to us with that list and the rest is in our hands.”

Sophie, what is your advice to a bride on her wedding day?
“My main piece of advice to them would be to enjoy the moment because it goes by really fast. Our job is to worry about the future aspects that are going on during the wedding but I want them to worry about the here and now. Don’t stress, have fun with your wedding party, and make sure you have the quality time with your spouse because the day will fly by faster than you think.”
