With the opening of the Caldwell-Hampton-Boylston House on Arsenal Hill, it was only fitting to bring our Cherry Blossom Inspired Shoot to this gorgeous new venue! With photography by the wonderful Courtney Price, we were so excited to bring one of our AMW team member's visions to life!
Flowers
We partnered with By Design SC, to bring our classic Southern Cherry Blossom dreams to life! They incorporated some unique elevated florals and creative bridal party concepts to inspire the upcoming couples of this new space!
Hair and Makeup
Laken McKenzie Cosmetics sure knows how to put together a bridal look! We pushed the envelope on hairstyling by incorporating a pearl headband to showcase a new concept to hair design for the wedding day. She went for a light, spring makeup look that won't feel too heavy during the oncoming summer heat!
Pastries
AMW immediately thoughts of Ally and Eloise and Bonnie Brunt Cakes to help us with this summer, COVID-friendly cake design! We wanted to highlight the new trend of small, individualized cakes to keep a socially distant dessert as well as a beautiful display of the larger "faux" cake to still give an aesthetically pleasing display that won't melt on a hot summer day.
Attire
We immediately thought of Bella Bridesmaids for the bridal attire. Our local entrusted bridesmaid guru shop carries over 40++ designers at one time in one friendly retail space. Along with Bella Bridesmaids, we worked with Brittons of Columbia for the groom and Jo Lin’s Bridal for the wedding dress. For the bridal look the key was something easy, lightweight, and with a hint of a pink undertone and floral applique. Blue for men's attire brought a fun flirty play on a summer tux.
Backdrop
Have you met Shindig Social? They are the perfect vendor when we need to add an accent to make the photos a little more special! This group will create custom backdrops, escort walls, champagne bars, and more. Definitely an SC go-to for making a setting go POP! on the wedding day. We added to this "photo area" Bee's Vintage Rentals velvet couch that created the perfect seating space for this photo-must-have area.
Stationary
We partnered with Watercolor Design Co, ModParty, and Common Oak to put together the bar of our dreams! We asked for a cherry blossom-inspired look with floral and feminine accents. Watercolor Design Co and Common Oak helped with the bar sign, escort wall, and menus while ModParty sent their fans for the bridal party!
Caricatures
AMW wanted to make this wedding-styled shoot unique, and what a better way to do it than bring in a caricature artist! Lonnie from Carolina Caricatures drew the best caricatures of the wedding party! He also drew some of our AMW team! We loved having Lonnie be a part of this day.
