Kiawah Island Romance: Kate & Watson’s Dream Wedding at The Sanctuary

Before saying “I do,” the couple spent their last night as fiancés surrounded by family and friends at Mingo Point. The evening featured a rehearsal dinner, cocktails at sunset, and touching words from their closest loved ones.

Blue and green ribbons, monograms, matchbooks, monogram cigar wraps, signature drinks—every thoughtful detail made Kate and Watson Jackson’s wedding day more memorable by the second.

Kate spent her morning getting ready with help from her bridesmaids, taking in every moment before making her way down the aisle. Her bridesmaids dressed in matching ruffled pajamas, raising glasses to toast the bride before slipping into elegant, baby blue strapless gowns. The room was filled with laughter and excitement as Kate looked effortlessly timeless in her high-neck lace gown, a dress with intricate details that perfectly reflected her classic style.

Watson spent the morning with his groomsmen by his side. From assembling bowties to sharing a lighthearted toast, the group enjoyed a relaxed start to the day before dressing in matching white tuxedos. Walking the grounds of Green Winged Teal, they carried a clean, refined look that set the tone for the elegant evening ahead.

Their ceremony began at The Chapel at the Sanctuary in Kiawah Island. High ceilings, arched windows, and wooden beams created a picturesque backdrop and elevated atmosphere. Each pew was wrapped in satin white ribbons tied in bows, carrying the magic all the way down the aisle. Guests watched as Kate and Watson exchanged heartfelt vows in an unforgettable service, ending with the newlyweds exiting through a sea of bubbles as they made their way to the reception.

No detail was overlooked when it came to the florals. Lush white and green blooms perfectly complemented the setting’s elegant charm. Tall urns overflowed with hydrangeas, roses, and trailing greenery, while a hanging chandelier installation added a touch of drama and romance beneath the tent. Smaller arrangements and thoughtful floral details carried the look throughout the day, from the ceremony to the reception tables and bar. The bride’s bouquet of white ranunculus tied everything together beautifully—classic, fresh, and effortlessly timeless.

Following the ceremony, guests gathered on the Upper Terrace Lawn for cocktail hour, surrounded by swaying palm trees. Servers first passed champagne for a joyful toast, followed by a curated selection of wines and the couple’s signature margaritas. Laughter and conversation filled the air as a live band played soft, classical music. Meanwhile, Kate and Watson shared a quiet moment togethera private bite before rejoining their loved ones for the evening ahead.

Under a grand white tent, the reception combined elegance with lively, personal touches. Guests mingled at dinner stations that encouraged conversation and connection, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The bar showcased custom décor with thoughtful details like monogrammed wooden stir sticks, personalized bar signs, and matchbooks for guests to take home.

Tables were dressed in Stradley Davidson’s Benton Jade linens, their green and white pattern adding a fresh, graceful touch. Coordinating floral china and gold-beaded chargers created a refined look, while monogrammed napkins added a personal detail. Soft candlelight and lush white-and-green florals completed the setting beautifully.

The couple’s cake featured a romantic design with delicate Swiss dots and was topped with a charming dog figurine—a sweet tribute to their beloved pet—displayed on an elegant silver stand with vintage-inspired footed handles.

As the night went on, guests filled the dance floor, dancing in light-up cowboy hats and bandanas passed out during the late-night festivities. A supplementary dessert station kept the celebration sweet as the music played on. The evening came to a close with everyone still dancing—a joyful finale to an unforgettable day.
