Even though our LoveShackFancy-Inspired styled shoot was a little over a month ago, we are still riding the high of this completely fabulous day!
Every semester, our marketing and planning interns dream up their fantasy weddings for a vision board contest. After everyone floods their boards with color palettes and inspo pictures of everything from cakes, to invites, and even guest attire, they submit their cleverly worded visions for voting. Whichever board gets the most votes gets brought to life the following semester for a styled shoot. This semester, we had the pleasure of making this feminine vintage-inspired dream a reality.
We quickly got to work finding local vendors who we knew could hit this niche theme directly on the nose. And although there was no doubt in the world that they would kill it, each and every vendor exceeded our expectations!
Venue
What would a wedding be without a venue? For this styled shoot, we had the pleasure of working with Historic Columbia Rentals to use the gorgeous Woodrow Wilson House. The house and grounds created a wonderful background for the day, immediately transporting us to a LoveShackFancy garden.
Florals
One of the core pieces to bring the vision board to life was the florals. They were a crucial part of transporting the space into a LoveShackFancy garden wonderland. Luckily, the brilliant Becca from Becca Zorn Designs completely knocked it out of the park.
Bride, Bridesmaids, & Groom Attire
We can’t forget about the most important part of a big day: the bride! Our two brides were styled in multiple gorgeous gowns from Elizabeth Cole Bridal, and their bridesmaids were decked out in dresses from Bella Bridesmaids that looked like they came straight out of a LoveShackFancy catalog! Each girl was then styled with beautiful jewelry from Made by Maddie Designs. We obviously can’t skip over the groom, whose look was finished with a spectacular specialty bowtie from Brackish. A huge part of the day’s concept was the attire, and we are so thankful to these vendors for executing our vision perfectly!
Hair & Makeup
Our beautiful brides and bridesmaids also wouldn’t be complete without their hair and makeup. Sabrina from Studio B at the Old Mill was tasked with the day’s beauty, and she clearly did not disappoint, making these already gorgeous girls even more beautiful!
Cake
As you can tell from the vision board, we wanted the vintage-styled cake that has been flooding the internet recently. And as you can tell from the photos, Katrina from The Cake Obsession gave us exactly that. From the intricate piping to the little pink bows, everything about this cake was absolute perfection!
Bunnies
If the cake wasn’t enough of a wow factor itself, we had bunnies to really top off the shoot! Everyone, from the models to our team, had the pleasure of playing with the utterly adorable bunnies from Twin Farms Mobile Petting Zoo. Let’s just say the day wouldn’t have been the same without these furry friends!Â
Rentals
The styled shoot wouldn’t have been complete without the amazing tablescapes put together by our rental vendors. The gorgeous floral chargers and specialty linens came from Lola Valentina and took the table settings from ordinary to LoveShackFancy chic. We are also so thankful for Party Reflections, one of our absolute favorite rental companies, for adding all of the big and small details that helped make this styled shoot a reality.
Stationary
Who would have known to come to our fabulous day if we didn’t have invitations? Thankfully, we had the wonderful Emily Bowen Designs to create our wonderfully whimsical invitations and menus!Â
Getaway Car
Although we didn’t want the shoot to end, it eventually was time to say goodbye. We obviously had to send the brides and groom off in style, so the incredible Soda City Figgy came to whisk them away. It truly was the perfect end to a perfect styled shoot!
Bartenders & Models
The day wouldn’t have been anything without people! Thank you to the bartenders from Tend Your Party LLC and all of our beautiful models for being a part of our day.
Models: KB Frinks, Justin King, Kelsey Caskey, Jessica Green, Charlotte Knoop, Madolyn Dibias, and Ashlynn Brensinger
Photographer & Videographer
And finally, we would have nothing to show for this shoot if not for a photographer and videographer. Words cannot even begin to describe how grateful we are for the amazing Markie Walden Photography and Justin Joseph Films for capturing this day! Check out our Instagram to see more of their photos and videos from the styled shoot.Â
From vision board to reality, this styled shoot was an absolute dream! Thank you again to all of our wonderful vendors who helped bring this vision to life. We hope you all enjoy this shoot as much as we do.
