College Sweethearts to “I do”: Rachel and Cole Celebrate their Lowcountry Love Story

Rachel and Cole had the wedding of their dreams at Lowndes Grove in Charleston, South Carolina. From meeting each other at the University of South Carolina during a semester-long project, to finally saying “I do” just a few years later, their wedding was perfectly captured by the talented Ava Moore Photography.

The day began by Rachel and her bridesmaids preparing for the big day with lots of love and laughter. The bridesmaids had beautiful blush dresses which made for a stunning look. Cole and his groomsmen got ready separately before Rachel and Cole revealed their first looks. After sharing so many laughs and smiles, it was time to reveal the details and venue to the couple.

After guests arrived to Lowndes Grove, it was finally time for Rachel and Cole to say “I do.” This elegant ceremony was simple and timeless, featuring lots of greenery making this the perfect summer wedding. Following the ceremony, it was time for cocktail hour located right on the waterfront.

Following cocktail hour, guests were encouraged to come the main reception for the full bridal party introductions and to officially welcome Mr. and Mrs. Blankenship. The reception was nothing short of stunning, featuring vibrant colors with pops of green, yellow, and dusty rose. The space was truly breathtaking with beautiful rentals from Event Works and Curated Events Shortly after the couple shared their first dance, the food stations were open for guests to enjoy dinner. It was truly a beautiful night listening to Rachel and Cole’s beautiful and unique love story.

As the sun set, this romantic and beautiful evening ended with a full circle moment for Rachel and Cole – the University of South Carolina mascot “Cocky” showing up for the iconic sandstorm song. Rachel and Cole share a heartwarming love story and this night was nothing short of perfect.
