A look inside Chase and Michael’s unforgettable three-day wedding celebration.

Updated: Jun 30

Michael and Chase met during their freshman year at Anderson University at a student government interest meeting. Between rigorous extracurriculars and managing friendships, they became close and started dating in 2010. Today, Michael and Chase are happier and closer than ever, now fully able to embrace themselves as individuals and as a couple. The love and encouragement they have been shown by countless family and friends has made this one of the sweetest times in their relationship.

The Wedding Weekend: Starring Michael and Chase

Chase and Michael’s welcome party was held at The American Theatre in Charleston, South Carolina, and the custom marquee was the perfect way to announce it! Espresso martinis and champagne upon entrance made for a very warm welcome and the guests had a great time exploring the venue.

My favorite part of the welcome party were the personal details. For example, the custom movie posters got a smile out of everyone and were a wedding detail you do not typically see, each poster inspired by a famous movie.

The dinner gave a “Great Gatsby” vibe with the vintage theater, gold and teal accents on the linens, and geometric shaping on the menu.

Pool Day at The Wonderer

The second day of the wedding weekend brought the party to a rooftop pool at The Wonderer in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. Guests showed up in “pool party chic” looks—colorful coverups, trendy swimwear, and plenty of summer flair. It was a laid-back day under the sun, complete with music, cocktails, and nonstop conversation. With the city skyline as their backdrop, friends and family enjoyed the perfect mix of fun and fashion.

The Big Day at Twenty-One Magazine

The couple had their ceremony and reception at Twenty-One Magazine, a restored 1802 structure. With grand ballrooms, captivating private grounds, and charming open-air spaces, the space was the perfect place for their wedding. With just the right amount of historic charm and sophistication, the couple was able to host 200 guests in style!

Ceremony:

The ceremony was held in the outdoor space of 21 Magazine. The wedding party dresses were shades of sage which matched perfectly. They were married under an arch of mossy greens and white flowers.

Reception:

Onto the reception! From the moment a guest walks in, they are met with “A Key to a Perfect Evening”. With their name and place card attached to a key, the guests had a unique way to make the table setting fun and interactive!

Twenty-One Magazine allowed for guests to be seated in multiple rooms, and the couple made sure to glam up both. The grooms wanted two different design looks for the rooms. A light, southern classic, and a moody, more organic look.

The table setting in the light room was a stunning mix of white and shades of green green. There was a full gold place setting, and the wine glasses were a deep, burnt amber color.

The dark room had black and white linen, black chairs, and a full black table setting. My favorite touch was each menu being wrapped in a different colored bow depending on what meal each guest chose.

The bar had green florals and custom bar signs presenting the couples personal drinks.

Sendoff:

The end of the reception was wrapped up with being served late night hibachi with custom chopsticks, and grooms were then sent off in a vintage Bronco.

Congratulations Chase and Michael!
