We are so excited to welcome our Summer Team to the Alexandra Madison Weddings family! Follow along below to read about each of our new coordinators including their favorite wedding trends, dream wedding color palette, dream wedding venue and what they are each looking forward to most about this summer...
AMW Lead Team
ALEXANDRA WOODLIEF
Alexandra is the Owner and Lead Designer of Alexandra Madison Weddings! Alexandra started AMW in 2013 and has training and wedding experience from all over the country, from Santa Fe, NM and Los Angeles, CA to South Carolina and Georgia! Alexandra has experience in all areas of events such as venue management, catering, rentals, and of course wedding planning! Alexandra's favorite current wedding trend is highlighting the "Color of the Year" and incorporating that into design. Her favorite part of wedding day is the cake cutting! She loves how special that first moment is between the new couple. Alexandra says she can't wait to work with this summer's team as they all have such a "refreshing vibe." Alexandra is excited to see the new and exciting looks this team can bring to each wedding day!
PARKER COGGINS
Parker graduated from the University of SC with a Hospitality Management Degree focused in events. Parker has only ever lived in the Carolinas. She grew up in Raleigh, NC, of course moved to Columbia for school and now is back in NC specifically in Charlotte to help expand the AMW brand. Although Parker and Alex have known one another for over 5 years through UofSC ADPi chapter, her time specifically with AMW began in 2019. Parker started with us as an Associate Planner and is now one of our Leads! She comes from a background in events, private clubs, banquets/catering and golf tournaments. Favorite wedding trend is the custom champagne bottles and anything speciality monogrammed! She feels it adds an element of personalization and uniqueness on the big day. Parker is most looking forward to the summer season because of her love for outdoor weddings in the sunshine and the high energy that surrounds this busy time of year!
MARY GREGORY
Mary Gregory graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Marketing and Sport and Entertainment Management, from Fort Mill, SC. She has lived in the state of SC her entire life! She started with AMW as a marketing coordinator a year ago and quickly merged into planning, learning all things about wedding planning. She turned her passion into a career with AMW as an associate planner while also working as the Marketing and HR Manager! Mary’s favorite part about being a wedding planner is the moment right before sending the client down the aisle. “It is such a rewarding moment seeing the bride so happy and knowing that we contributed to the happiness in making their day all they dreamed of and more!” She says that she is most looking forward to watching the summer team excel in their positions. “They have already jumped right in and have been the hardest working team in AMW history and it has only been a few weeks! I can’t wait to see how much they grow and to serve as a mentor for them as they learn all there is to know about the dream job of wedding planning!”
SOPHIE LARGE
Sophie graduated from UofSC in December of 2020 with a hospitality management degree and a focus in events. She’s originally from Houston, TX but now calls SC home!! She has always had a passion for events and started working in country clubs and the catering/event side. She saw AMW advertise an internship on their Instagram the summer going into my senior year and knew she had to apply. She has loved every second so far and is thrilled to continue working with AMW full time! Sophie’s favorite wedding trend is signature drinks with a matching bar sign and lounge seating. He favorite part of the wedding day is when the groom first sees the bride whether it’s down the aisle or a first look! She also LOVES first dances, she cries every time. She is SO excited to work with this summer team and watch everyone grow. Sophie can’t wait to share her passion for events and weddings with everyone and she can’t wait to see this summer team experience it all first hand.
PLANNING COORDINATORS
MEREDITH COVERT
Meredith is a Junior at the University of South Carolina studying Hospitality and Event Management. Her current favorite wedding trend is mini cakes for each guest as an alternative to the big, traditional wedding cake. If Meredith could describe her dream wedding style in two words it would be “Boho Glam!” Her dream color palette would include blush pink, sage green and champagne. Meredith is most looking forward to discovering her own wedding style and aesthetic while gaining experience in the industry!
AMANDA OLIVER
Amanda is a Senior studying Hospitality and Event Management at the University of Alabama. She would describe her wedding style as “Whimsical Fairytale.” Amanda’s dream wedding color palette would include lavender, porcelain and sage green. She loves activities at weddings for the guests to participate in like a flower bar! Amanda says she is most looking forward to “gaining experience and making friends in a new city!”
SARAH-ELIZABETH RHYNE
Sarah-Elizabeth is a Junior at the University of South Carolina studying Hospitality Management. Her favorite current wedding trend is live painters! If she was planning her wedding today, her dream venue would be at a vineyard in Napa Valley, California with a color palette of placid blues, greens and porcelain. Sarah-Elizabeth says that a “must-play” song at her wedding would be “I only wanna be with you” by Hootie and the Blowfish! She is most looking forward to this summer for a chance to meet new people, network, and get new ideas and experiences in the wedding industry.
ELIZABETH RIDDLE
Elizabeth is a recent graduate of the University of South Carolina who studied Mass Communications while attending. She loves fun vendors, including the “Bubbly Bus!” She says that at her dream wedding, there would be a live painter. Her dream color palette includes tones of champagne, blush, copper, sage, and hints of icy blue. When thinking about the team this summer, Elizabeth is most excited to “work alongside everyone to create the best wedding days for all clients from the very beginning of the process to the day of!”
SARAH SMITH
Sarah graduated from the University of South Carolina in May of 2020 with a degree in Public Relations. Her current favorite wedding trend is mini-charcuterie boards. If she could describe her dream wedding style in two words, they would be “Colorful Glam!” Sarah’s dream wedding color palette is made up of bright colors like bold pinks, yellows, and oranges. Sarah is looking forward to the chance to continue to learn and grow in her understanding of "the design behind weddings."
PERRY HARRINGTON
Perry is a Senior studying Sports and Entertainment Management. Her current favorite wedding trend is mismatched bridesmaid dresses. Perry’s dream wedding venue is The Equinox Resort in Manchester, Vermont. Her dream wedding color palette would include neutral tones with pops of colors. Perry is most excited to join the team this summer for an opportunity to put her creative mind to work!
PRESLEY MOHLER
Presley is a Junior studying Hospitality Management at the University of South Carolina. Her current favorite wedding trend is mini hors d’oeuvres. Presley’s dream wedding color palette includes a lot of greenery with pops of bright, citrus tones. At her future wedding, a “must have" is definitely a huge dessert table! Presley says she is most excited to be working on this summer team for the opportunity to see weddings come together and the opportunity to see the planning process through from the beginning to the end.
MARKETING COORDINATOR
SAVANNA FORE
Savanna is a Junior at the University of South Carolina studying Marketing and Business Management. Her current favorite wedding trend is when the couple shares a “last dance” at the end of the night. When she envisions her dream wedding, the layout includes long table settings for guests so everyone can sit together with touches of sage green and champagne. When thinking about this summer, Savanna is most excited about expanding her knowledge of marketing in a field she is passionate about--Weddings!
KELSEY MCCLOSKEY
Kelsey is a recent graduate! While at UofSC, she studied Theatre, Advertising and Public Relations. Kelsey’s current favorite wedding trends are espresso carts and macaroon displays! Her dream wedding color palette includes shades of dust blue, eucalyptus green and gold accents. Kelsey is most excited about expanding her marketing experience alongside this amazing team while helping to create brides’ dream weddings this summer!
OLIVIA LEFKOWITZ
Olivia is a Senior at the University of South Carolina studying Public Relations. She is joining AMW on both the Marketing and the Planning teams! If she could describe her dream wedding style in two words it would be “Boho Chic.” Olivia’s favorite current wedding trend is sharing a “First Look” with the groom! She also loves a good first look with Bride and her bridesmaids and/or father. Her dream wedding color palette would include shades of sage green, blush pinks and porcelain. Olivia is most looking forward to joining the summer team for the opportunity to learn alongside some of the most passionate and hardworking girls in an industry filled with so much love!
ASEIL ALMOGABER
Aseil is a Senior studying Accounting and Marketing at the University of South Carolina. Her favorite current wedding trend is dessert carts. If Aseil had to describe her dream wedding style in one word it would be “glamorous!” Aseil says that she is so excited to join the AMW team for this summer. Specifically, she is eager to learn about the industry and becoming more efficient with graphics.
LOGAN YOUNG
Logan is a Junior studying Sport and Entertainment Management at the University of South Carolina. Her favorite current wedding trend is unique desserts. At Logan’s dream wedding, there would be a frozen yogurt bar and fondue! Her dream wedding color palette includes shades of sage, champagne, and porcelain. Logan cannot wait to learn more about marketing this Summer on the AMW team!
